This Privacy Policy describes how Ember Cloud ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when using our services. By accessing or using Ember Cloud, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described herein.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Name, email address, and phone number upon account registration
• Payment and billing information processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe)
• Call data, voicemail recordings, and SMS message content processed through our telephony provider (Twilio) on your behalf
• Usage data, platform activity logs, and browser or device information for service reliability and diagnostics
• Advertising source or campaign tags you configure within the platform

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our voice, SMS, and call management services
• Process transactions and send related communications such as invoices and receipts
• Deliver automated services you configure, including missed-call text-back and voicemail transcription
• Monitor for abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service
• Respond to support requests and communications
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

3. SMS Programs We Operate

Ember Cloud operates the following SMS messaging programs on behalf of registered users:

• Missed-Call Text-Back: Automated transactional SMS sent to callers who do not reach a user's line, containing the user's configured response message.
• Conversational SMS: Two-way messaging threads between platform users and their contacts, initiated and managed by the platform user.
• Platform Notifications: Transactional alerts sent to the registered account holder regarding account activity, missed calls, voicemail, or billing events.

Message frequency varies depending on account activity and configuration. Standard message and data rates may apply.

4. SMS & Data Sharing — Strictly Prohibited

Opt-in data and consent records for text messaging — including the identity of subscribers, their opt-in method, and the timestamp of consent — are never shared with any third party under any circumstances. This data is used solely to operate the messaging service and comply with carrier and regulatory requirements.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party providers to deliver our services. These providers process your data solely on our behalf and under contractual obligations of confidentiality:

• Twilio Inc. — Voice and SMS telephony infrastructure
• Stripe Inc. — Payment processing and subscription billing
• Google Cloud Platform — Cloud hosting, data storage, and infrastructure
• Resend — Transactional email delivery (delivery status only; message content is not logged)

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any other third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and associated data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide services. Upon account cancellation, your assigned phone number and associated data are held for a grace period before permanent deletion. You may request early deletion of your data by contacting us at support@embercloud.cc.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. These measures include cryptographic hashing for sensitive credentials, encrypted data transmission over TLS, and secure proxying for voice data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights & Opt-Out

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@embercloud.cc. We will respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Children's Privacy

Ember Cloud is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at support@embercloud.cc.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, by sending a notice to your registered email address. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
